A career in Audit & Security Compliance at LifeLock plays a critical role in helping us achieve our goals. Our mission is for stakeholders inside and outside of the company to be recognized as a trusted source of qualified and progressive audit services to ensure the company maintains compliance with all regulatory and security requirements.
Audit & Security Compliance is responsible for managing all aspects of LifeLock's information security programs, including the continued certification of its ISO27001 security accreditation, compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), adherence to applicable federal and state regulatory requirements (i.e., Federal Trade Commission, States Attorney General offices, State Insurance Commissions or Boards, etc), as well as other risk management, security or audit services, as deemed necessary.
The Audit & Security Compliance team focuses on providing valuable services to all of the departments within LifeLock, including Information Technology, Operations, Finance and Human Resources. Our key initiatives are to deliver specific training and awareness programs and materials for all of LifeLock's workforce, effective monitoring to ensure compliance with our programs, education and guidance for issues or questions which may arise, as well as formal security assessments and monitoring of our key vendors and suppliers.
In 2010 LifeLock signed an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission and several State Attorneys General to close a compliance inquiry by setting advertising standards for the company and establishing regulatory guidance for the identity theft protection sector.
"LifeLock is pleased with this agreement, which, for the very first time, works to set advertising guidelines for the entire industry," Todd Davis, chairman and CEO of LifeLock, said. "We welcome federal and state efforts to regulate our industry, because doing so helps to protect consumers from the risks of identity theft."
The agreement was much needed, as identity theft and fraud have led all complaints filed with the Federal Trade Commission for nine years straight.
